Privacy policy

Short version: govitas sets no cookies, uses no analytics, loads nothing from third-party servers and does not know who you are unless you write to us.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. in a data centre within the European Union. When you open a page, the web server records the requested address, the date and time, the transferred data volume, the browser type and the IP address in a log file for security purposes. Log files are deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the site (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with the hosting provider.

3. No cookies, no tracking, no third-party content

govitas does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or social media services. Fonts, images, films, scripts and map graphics are delivered from our own domain. No content is loaded from Google, Meta or other third parties when a page opens, so no data reaches other companies through your visit. Maps are our own graphics, not embedded map services.

4. Tools, quiz and local storage

The Vitality Score, Trip Designer, Jet Lag Planner, Longevity Day, Walk the World, Retreat Budget, Breathe and the Longevity Quiz run entirely in your browser. Your inputs are never transmitted to us. So that your last inputs are still there when you return, the browser stores them locally on your device (local storage). This is not a cookie, we have no access to it, and you can delete it at any time through your browser settings. Answers to the Vitality Score are health-related information; they never leave your device.

5. Sharing

The share buttons are plain links. Only when you click WhatsApp, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest or Telegram does the respective service open with the text and the link, and from then on its privacy rules apply. Result pictures are drawn in your browser and downloaded directly to your device.

6. Contact form and newsletter

When you write to us through the contact form, we process the details you enter (name, e-mail address, subject, message) to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR). The message is delivered to our editorial mailbox by e-mail and stored in a log file on the server that is deleted after 12 months. For the newsletter we store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe, which is possible with every mail (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR). Instead of your IP address we store a short pseudonym that changes monthly to prevent abuse. We do not pass data on to third parties.

7. Poll

The poll on the home page counts votes anonymously. We store only the chosen answer and the same short pseudonym to prevent repeat votes.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR. Write to info@govitas.com. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.

We update this policy when the site changes. Last revised: September 2026.
